Hot: Max Holloway Advised Brian Ortega During Their Match?!

Did Max Holloway Really Tell His Foe Brian Ortega To Keep His Lead Hand Up In The Middle Of Their UFC 231 Fight?!

Max Holloway earned a victory over Brian Ortega at the main event of UFC 231, on December 8, 2018. “Blessed” was more than dominant, and the one-sided blowout was stopped at the end of the fourth round. Ortega’s face was heavily swollen after the clash.

But here is a controversial thing. The Twitter fan pointed out that Max Holloway gave technical advice to his opponent in the middle of the fight!!! In the fourth round, Max noticed that rival’s lead arm is down, and kindly told him to “keep it up”?! Look at the hot video below!

As well as you see, after the punch exchange, Max Holloway stops his opponent, putting his hands on Ortega’s forearms. Then he sets Brian’s left hand in the level of a temporal bone, showing him how to block the punch?!

It looks like the Hawaiian was giving a lesson to his opponent at 2:06 of the fourth round, and he deserves huge respect for that!

At the moment, Brian Ortega is under medical suspension. He heals from UFC 231 beatdown.

Max Holloway is looking for his next rival. At the moment, UFC Featherweight division is stacked with challengers who’d gladly meet the Hawaiian – Alexander Volkanovski, Frankie Edgar, Renato Moicano, and even Yair Rodriguez.

There were even talks of Holloway moving the division up. UFC boss Dana White looks more than interested in this possibility. (h/t BJPenn.com)

“Max is a grown man and we need to talk,” Dana White said of Max Holloway (via MMA Fighting). “But I’d like to see Max go to ‘55 now. I think that the guy’s 27 going on 28 years old, he’s in the prime of his life, never looked better. Continues to improve with every single fight that he’s in and I think he’s done everything he can do at ‘45.”

How does this controversial video look to you? Was this a friendly advice from Max Holloway or something else? Please share your thoughts!
