Matt Brown calls CM Punk dumb, the UFC’s newest pro wrestler responds on ESPN’s SportsCenter

Matt Brown likes to shop at Target. While at Target doing his Holiday shopping and buying manly items, Brown looks at the retail chain’s logo and he is reminded of the figurative target on the back of new UFC signee CM Punk. Beating up CM Punk equals dollar signs for whatever UFC fighters get the first crack at the man known as Phil Brooks.

Brown isn’t dumb but he does think CM Punk is dumb for signing up for a UFC fight. On Fox Sports’ The Great MMA Debate podcast Brown called Punk dumb multiple times.

To paraphrase Brown, who fights Tarec Saffiedine in February, Punk is dumb for thinking he can be a UFC fighter and he can fight Brown after the Ohio fighter beats Tarec. But Brown doesn’t want to fight Punk several weeks after this fight with Saffiedine, he wants to kick his ass immediately after the Fight Night 60 main event final bell sounds. In Brown Fighting Championships, Saffiedine is wheeled away to the locker room and Punk walks to the cage to face off with an already sweaty Matt Brown.

Known for his cutting verbal jabs in the pro wrestling world, surely Punk unleashed a pipe bomb on Brown for calling him dumb. While touring the ESPN campus and making multiple stops for interviews, Punk was asked about Brown’s remarks on SportsCenter. The 36 year old ex-pro wrestler’s reaction was that of respect and admiration for Brown.

As a MMA rookie CM Punk is humble, respectful of his fellow man, and always dressed in a fashionable suit. Well dressed and easy going CM Punk coming to a UFC Octagon near you!
