Marlon Moraes, the name we won’t forget after this Tyson Nam knockout

And like that *poof* Marlon Moraes made like Kevin Spacey/Keiser Soze (spoiler alert) and made his name known in the bantamweight division. He beat up Miguel Torres at World Series of Fighting 1, now he knocked out the uber-hyped Tyson Nam, himself off a knockout over former Bellator champ, Eduardo Dantas, outside of Bellator that made Nam the most sought after bantamweight in a while. He basically made Bjorn Rebney and Dana White pull at each arm. Imagine that; Dana and Bjorn pulling at your arm with Joe Rogan and Jimmy Smith commentating the struggle. Not only would that be the most well-commentated contract negotiation ever, but it would look like an outtake from THX-1138. All it took to put Marlon in this fantastic career situation was a high kick that clipped Nam’s head, stunning him like a rogue snuck up behind and cast “mug” then smacked Nam with punches to his head until he flattened on the mat.

Moraes looks like he’s done well for himself on the east coast with Frankie Edgar and Renzo Gracie, and now we will have another name for hypothetical scenario matchmaking. Nice.
