Marlon Moraes Claims He Has Signed Up Bout Agreement To Fight Jimmie Rivera

Marlon Moraes has officially agreed to fight Jimmie Rivera at UFC on Fox 28.

The former WSOF bantamweight champ Marlon Moraes posted a signed bout agreement, on Saturday via social media revealing that he has accepted an offer to face Rivera at UFC on FOX 28 in February. Moraes further said he would be open to fighting the Jimmie Rivera in early March instead if that worked better for “B-I-T-C-H” Rivera.

“Here you go @JimmieRivera135 I signed my bout agreement. @ufc on fox. I also agreed to fight you on march 3rd choose what day you want me to beat your ass B-I-T-C-H @seanshelby @danawhite @AliAbdelaziz00” – Marlon Moraes

Marlon’s attacking tweet comes shortly after Rivera had taken to social media and campaigned for a brawl with former UFC bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt.

“. @Cody_Nolove says he healthy, let’s put a show on for the fans. He wants to defend his spot and I want to take it. @seanshelby @ufc” – Jimmie Rivera

It’s understandable that the No.4 ranked Rivera would want to proceed the fight with recently dethroned champion Cody Garbrandt instead, particularly as he remains the division’s No.1 contender.

Marlon Moraes was last seen in action at last month’s UFC Fresno event where he scored a brutal first-round knockout win over Aljamain Sterling.

Last month, Moraes offered to step up and face Rivera on short notice after John Lineker was pulled out of UFC 219 with an injury. Unfortunately, the bout didn’t come to materialize as Moraes did not accept a 145-pound bout, and Rivera was withdrawn from the fight card.

Jimmie Rivera is undefeated in the UFC, is currently riding a twenty fight win streak, his most recent win coming over Thomas Almeida this past July in Uniondale.

UFC on FOX 28 will takes place at Amway Center in Orlando, Florida on Feb. 24.

What would you prefer to see Jimmie River fight next, Cody Garbrandt or Marlon Moraes?
