I could stop right there and be finished with this article, but most of you would feel somewhat short-changed. Instead, I’ll tell you guys about the time when I saw Marloes Coenen kicking it in the hotel bar at Crowne Plaza in San Jose just last night. There’s a reason they call her the female Rickson. After tonight, I sincerely hope people realize that Golden Glory is serious. They currently have two champions housed in Strikeforce and are pretty much a lock with someone inside Golden Glory winning the 2010 K-1 GP.
Marloes Coenen derailed Sarah Kaufman tonight and for that, people should be celebrating in the streets that a loss to Coenen is inevitably a win for women’s MMA.
