Manny Pacquiao wants to try MMA but his management won’t let him

If there was one person that most accurately reflects the kid that used to hop on my school bus and beat up kids for their Starter jackets, Manny Pacquiao is definitely that guy. Everyone was afraid of him because people said he had down syndrome which we thought meant that he was incapable of feeling pain. In the fourth grade, all genetic disorders automatically equated to having a super power. Later we found our that he didn’t have down syndrome, his father used to beat him every Saturday night. In the end, it looks like we all had the last laugh.

Bill Emes and Michael Marley from BoxingScene.com recently talked to Manny Pacquiao and asked if he would consider getting into MMA. His response may have you reconsidering your stance in this silly MMA vs boxing nonsense.

During a recent press conference, BoxingScene.com’s Bill Emes and Michael Marley cornered Manny Pacquiao on the subject of Mixed Martial Arts. Pacquiao said he watched MMA and UFC, but said it was “too brutal” when asked for his thoughts on the sport.

When asked if he would ever consider trying his hand at Mixed Martial Arts, Pacquiao replied to BoxingScene – “I want to, but they [promoters and management] don’t want me to fight.”

In some parallel universe, Manny Pacquiao is already fighting in MMA and he holds the belts in all three divisions of the WEC. In this same universe, Kristin Kreuk and I live together somewhere off the coast of Sardinia. [Source]
