Mackenzie Dern Returns Vs Amanda Cooper At UFC 224

Mackenzie Dern wanted a quick turnaround at UFC 224. Her wish is fulfilled! After her successful Octagon debut, a jiu-jitsu specialist will face UFC Strawweight veteran Amanda Cooper, according to MMABrasil.

Mackenzie Dern (6-0) scored a decision victory at UFC 222 versus Ashley Yoder. One of the best female jiu-jitsu fighters and a previous female jiu-jitsu No.1 in the world was asked to fight at UFC 224. She has a burning desire to prove in front of her home fans.

Despite her MMA career lasts less than two years, Mackenzie Dern has tremendous submission victories against Montana De La Rosa and one-time Invicta FC Challenger Kaline Medeiros.

Amanda Cooper has a score of 3-3, but she fights after a great TKO victory over Angela Magana in the second round. She was the finalist of The Ultimate Fighter Finale 23, and she has a win over Anna Elmose too. Amanda is defeated by submission of Strawweight contenders Cynthia Calvillo and Tatiana Suarez. “I’ve been training to beat [Dern] longer than you can imagine,” Cooper wrote Wednesday on Instagram. “I’m going to derail the hype train on May 12th.”

UFC 224 will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Amanda Nunes, a bantamweight champion, defends the title against Raquel Pennington in the main event of the evening. Here is the list of all fights:
