Los Angeles Laker Metta World Peace pulled off a superb muay-thai clinch in his fight last night

I’m not sure who this ‘Ron Artest’ character is, but there is a guy named ‘Metta World Peace’ and he played for the LA Lakers. He has a championship ring, has won the NBA’s J. Walter Kennedy Citizenship Award for outstanding community service. World Peace also loves getting in physical altercations — which is, of course, drenched in irony. A few of you may remember last year’s fight when Metta executed a Jon Bones Jones elbow that effectively leveled James Harden. To Metta World Peace’s credit, James Harden pulled off a flop that would even make Patrick Ewing blush.

Last night in the Los Angeles Lakers game against the Detroit Pistons, Metta World Peace apparently wanted to pay homage to Wanderlei Silva by placing Brandon Knight in muay-thai clinch. Unfortunately World Peace didn’t land any well-placed knees, which is sort of a bummer. Nevertheless, check out that muay-thai skills of World Peace in this clip. Props to Terez Owens for the find.
