Liz Carmouche becomes the first woman to go 1-1 in UFC history!

Two women just fought in the UFC. Both women are also lesbians. This has absolutely no bearing whatsoever on the fight itself. Really, it has no bearing on anything whatsoever. So, why even bring up the sexual orientation of Liz Carmouche and Jessica Andrade? Well, because it was pretty much the only thing that you deprived folks could mention on Twitter. I’m not sure if it’s more funny, sad or some combination that this fight made even the most articulate and intelligent among you revert back to your 14 year old selves, but it happened. So, if you could go ahead and pull your minds out of the gutters, let’s talk about the fight itself now.

This was pretty much the prime example of a “mercy stoppage.” Sure, Andrade probably could have hung in there until the round ended. Sure, Carmouche might have been on the way to tiring herself out, but neither of those aspects change the fact that Andrade was offering nothing that resembled “intelligently defending one’s self.” After a barrage of punches and elbows that lasted pretty much the entire duration of the 3:57 second round Herb Dean stepped in and waved it off. Peep this .gif of the finish, and try to restrain yourself from making the easy joke[s].

Thanks to Zprophet for the .gif!
