Laura Sanko can now add being a judge to her resume.

Sanko is known for her work as an interviewer and analyst for the UFC.

Last year, she even became the first female color commentator in the Zuffa era of the UFC, drawing plaudits from many including Dana White.

She continues to commentate on Dana White’s Contender Series today.

A former pro MMA fighter, Sanko is clearly making waves and paving the way for females within the sport outside of fighting.

Now, she’s gone one step further.

Laura Sanko: Yours Truly Is A Judge

In a recent podcast, Sanko revealed that she was now an officially licensed judge in the state of Missouri.

“Let me tell you something. I am now, as of last week, an official, a licensed official in the state of Missouri,” Sanko told Jimmy Smith. “I’m not a referee – I am, however, a judge.

“… I did the eight hours of coursework and passed my test and yada yada. So yeah, yours truly is a judge. I also did the referee class but becoming a referee, there’s other classes involved that I don’t have time to go to.”

We could now end up seeing Sanko being one of the judges whenever an MMA event is held in the state of Missouri.

Later on, we may even see Sanko doing referee work — provided she has time to take her classes given her now-busier schedule.
