KJ Noons and Jorge Masvidal have been told to be ready for April 9th

What a 48 hours. It’s times like these we that we need a foul mouthed Eddie Murphy and Nick Nolte as unlikely partners. It’s the only way to make sense of natural disasters and corporate takeovers. Well maybe a buddy film from 1982 (has it really been almost 30 years since Eddie Murphy has been funny?) is not the answer we are looking for. Maybe KJ Noons and Jorge Masvidal are here to save the day instead. With things in Japan going from horrible to…really, really horrible, there is a chance Shinya Aoki and Tatsuya Kawajiri may not be able to participate in Zuffa’s planned April 9th event. That’s where slick haired KJ and impressively goatee’d Jorge step in. The pair had planned to have a no. 1 contendership bout that was pushed back due to lack of TV time on April 9th, now they have been told to be ready to fight by the powers that be, just in case the Tobikan Judan and Crusher can’t make it. Here is what KJ had to say about the situation to MMAJunkie.com:

“A couple of days ago the card was full,”  “There was no TV room left. But now because of all the bad news that happened in Japan, I don’t know the status of Kawajiri and Aoki. So I’m just training. I might be back on the card. I’m not on it officially yet.”

“I’m looking to stay busy, and if not, I’ll get a boxing fight or something,”

There is no word if KJ has been able to schedule a haircut under this late of notice.
