Kimbo Slice vs. Meathead Mitrione…maybe

Last night, Ariel Helwani broke the news that Matt Mitrione’s camp has agreed to fight Kimbo Slice at UFC 113 in Montreal. This was followed by Yahoo! Sports Steve Cofield calling Ariel a ‘Jackass’ because he interrupted his Saturday evening NFL and (or) college basketball. All of this happened while I was camped in front of my computer watching the XFL ‘New Year’s Revolution’ card. I couldn’t immediately publish it on MiddleEasy because I was busy looking at Jeff Monson fight John ‘Doo Doo’ Brown. Jeff Monson managed to ‘pull out’ the victory over John ‘Doo Doo’ Brown. Doo Doo ‘stuck’ to Monson the entire fight and overall, Doo Doo looked pretty ‘solid’. Houston Alexander was also on that card and caught his second consecutive loss, this time to the ground and pound of Joey Beltran. We all remember the Benny Hillesque antics when Houston was assigned to fight Kimbo Slice at the TUF 10 finale but tried to TKO Kimbo via perpetual spiraling vertigo. It didn’t work and Kimbo Slice grabbed his first win inside the octagon. *Cough* Segue *Cough*.

Now Kimbo Slice has a new opponent…well, almost has a new opponent. When Sherdog tried to confirm the rumored fight with Kimbo Slice, Mitrione replied with:

“I heard that too! Just not from the people I need to hear it from. Besides Kimbo is a [light heavyweight] now.”

Meathead is noncommittal and undecided, much like my ex-girlfriend. Maybe they’re related, although she never issued a challenge to all of her ‘Facebook friends’ to come to her home address and fight. Will Kimbo Slice fight Meathead Mitrione? No idea. All I know is that last night at XFL’s ‘New Years Revolution’ card, Doo Doo was all over Jeff Monson. [Source]
