Khamzat Chimaev is still pushing for another fight with Sean Strickland after losing the middleweight title by split decision at UFC 328.

Strickland defeated Chimaev at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, with official scores of 47-48, 48-47, and 48-47. The result gave Strickland the belt again and kept the scorecard debate alive, including Arman Tsarukyan questioning the UFC 328 decision after the event.

Chimaev went directly at Strickland on X and called for the rematch.

“I’m waiting tell me when you’re ready @SStricklandMMA Next time somebody has to be dead.”

Chimaev’s sharper point came through a now-deleted post captured in screenshots. In the image shared by Championship Rounds, Chimaev suggested the scorecards were shaped by who was judging, where the promotion is based, and who he fought.

“All judges are Americans, the organization is American, the opponent is American, and one is Chechen. It’s a close fight. Who do you think will win? 😂”

Chimaev Keeps Pressing For Strickland Rematch

Chimaev also rejected the idea that he was leaning on excuses. The same screenshot showed another message aimed at Strickland.

“No excuses I am just wanna fuck him up this shit Trying to run away.”

The frustration tracks with Chimaev’s first message after the loss, when he told Strickland “see you soon again” after UFC 328. His team has also kept the rematch talk alive, including claims about his difficult weight cut before the title fight.

Strickland’s side has treated the result as settled. He later brought the belt back to Xtreme Couture after beating Chimaev, while Chimaev has continued to argue that a close fight did not go his way.
