Khabib’s Father Responds To Mcgregor’s ‘Quivering Coward’ Jibes: ‘We Aren’t Forgiving Anything’

Khabib Nurmagomedov’s Father On Conor Mcgregor’s ‘Quivering Coward’ Diss”: ‘We Are Not Forgiving Anything’

Since the Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor’s main event bout announced for UFC 229, we haven’t seen much of drama or fight hyping hijinx between these two stars, as the pair is concentrating on their training. But Mcgregor has fired some salty social media attack that directing Khabib’s father and coach Abdulmanap calling him ‘Quivering Coward.’ That’s a small fire when you consider this fight was built off a bus rampage back in April that landed McGregor in jail and legal troubles.

Khabib’s father Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov says that while he and his son don’t bother by such provocations from Irishman.

”Mentally they can’t get (under our skin),” he told RT. “In that aspect we are standing firm. We are even letting certain things pass. But we are not forgiving anything. The cage and the fight are still ahead.”

Given the fact, all the things that happened between two stars and their teams in the built of this super fight, Abdulmanap says Mcgregor’s fight is undoubtedly important for his son, but there’re several other top names at 155-pound also intrigues Nurmagomedov’s.

“For the hype, for the money, to bury Conor’s era it is even better for us,” he said. “But if we talk purely sportswise, we still want the Ferguson fight. I really want him to come back and defeat Pettis. The intrigue is still there, and the whole world is interested (in the Ferguson fight). It would be 11 and 0 Khabib [in the UFC], 11 and 0 for him. And the fight that hasn’t happened yet.”

“Georges St-Pierre, who has never been defeated as a champion at 170 (pounds). He came back and took the belt from (Michael) Bisping at 185 (lbs). It’s always been a dream fight for me. I’ve been following him for a long time. He is a Hall of Famer. He showcased so much in this sport,” concluded Nurmagomedov senior.”

Georges St-Pierre is also looking to add a third belt to his resume by moving down to lightweight and eyes a winner of  Nurmagomedov vs. McGregor. In his recent social media post, GSP looking ready to compete at 155-pound, Khabib’s father could get what his son is looking for, but before that ‘The Eagle’ has to beat Irishman first.
