Khabib Nurmagomedov thinks Colby Covington should be blacklisted by other UFC welterweights. Additionally, this wouldn’t be said without Conor McGregor chiming in.

The former UFC Lightweight Champion expressed that Covington should have consequences for his recent actions. This of course, would stem from Covington’s altercation with Jorge Masvidal in Miami Beach. Masvidal would allegedly attack him outside a restaurant because his rival took it too far in terms of trash talk, mentioning his family.

Khabib Goes Off On Covington

Khabib also believes ‘Chaos’ crossed the line. He’d sound off on Covington, saying he should be ready to ‘back it up’.

“If you are stronger than someone inside the octagon, it does not mean you can insult his children,” Khabib said of Covington on Twitter. “No one has the right to insult someone’s family. Once you have gone down that path, then be ready to back up your words. You were attacked by professional fighter, the same as you are, your own size, and you go press charges against him to the police?

Welterweights Should Boycott ‘Chaos’

Khabib wasn’t done bashing Covington yet. ‘The Eagle’ thinks other welterweights should fly away from fighting Covington. Khabib wants the ‘provoking’ Covington to be made an example out of.

“I think all welterweights should refuse to fight Colby, just don’t accept fights with him, let him sit without a fight, it will probably significantly affect him and all fighters who even think of insulting families, who is provoking the fighters to look for someone in restaurants to deal with him.”

McGregor Responds

One of those ‘welterweights’ would respond to Khabib following this criticism of Covington. It was no ordinary welterweight however, it was Conor McGregor.

‘The Notorious’ who has his eyes on Kamaru Usman, would take aim at Khabib.

“He’d just go up to middleweight cos he’s not a fat Fanny.”

Covington has shown interest in fighting Israel Adesanya at middleweight. So, if his fellow welterweights somehow all agreed with Khabib, perhaps McGregor’s simple solution could work.

And of course, Conor McGregor’s response might be taken as a shot at Khabib Nurmagomedov, since he never moved up in weight.
