Ali Abdelaziz Says Whole Of Ireland Is ‘Fear’ Of Khabib vs. Mcgregor Rematch

Khabib’s Manager Ali Abdelaziz Goes Off On ‘Broken Man’ Conor Mcgregor

Conor McGregor last fought in the main event of UFC 229 last October where his bid to capture a lightweight title failed when Khabib Nurmagomedov submitted him in the fourth round. Shortly after all hell broke loose between the fighters inside and outside of the Octagon. Following his loss, Irishman expressed his desire for an immediate rematch with ‘Eagle.’

Even Dana White said Mcgregor brought up the topic to him directly that he wants the rematch.

Well, a rematch between two UFC superstar’s doesn’t seem like the most competitive one, but through a financial point of view, it will full fill everyone’s pocket. Even earlier this year UFC president Dana White said the rematch between Khabib and Mcgregor should happen in 2019.

Well at the moment it looks unlikely as Russian is currently sitting on the shelf with nine months of suspension which he can deduct to six months if he participates in anti-bullying PSA program. However, he turns down Commission’s offer and plans to sit out until November in solidarity with his teammates, Abubakar Nurmagomedov and Zubaira Tukhugov, who also received one year of suspension.

As for what’s next for Mcgregor is unknown, but Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone’s name is currently linked with him to fight next. No doubt Mcgregor is the biggest name in combat sports, but he needs a win or two if he wants to get back into title contention.

According to Khabib’s manager Ali Abdelaziz, former two-division champion Conor Mcgregor is scared of a rematch. (h/t MMAMania)

”Conor McGregor did not ask for the rematch,” he told TMZ Sports. “He don’t want to have nothing to do with the rematch. His father don’t wan’t nothing to do with rematch. His mother don’t want nothing to do with rematch. His kids. His wife. The whole country of Ireland. They don’t want to spell the word rematch. They are fear. It’s fear going around Ireland. It’s fear going around the north side of Europe.”

“They don’t wan’t to see anything that starts with K” Abdelaziz continued. “Not the KKK, not Khabib, nothing with a K. They wan’t to see Corey A., they want to see Cerrone, they wanna see oldest guys he can play mental game with them. But I’m telling you, if he fought Cerrone, Cerrone’s gonna beat him.”

“Conor McGregor is a broken man, he’s got all sorts of legal problems. People try to sue him. He doesn’t need any of the smoke. Like I said, if you can’t inhale the smoke, don’t talk about the smoke.”

Abdelaziz also added Khabib is down to fight anyone, but this fight could happen if the price is right.

“End of day, the fight have to make sense,” Ali concluded. “The zeroes have to make sense. And we say we’ll fight. Khabib will fight. Khabib will fight a camel, a donkey, a bear, a tiger. But I know one thing: we’re going to let Conor live the rest of his life in peace.”
