Khabib Nurmagomedov: “I Have To Beat Dustin, I Have To Beat Tony Ferguson, And I Have To Beat GSP.”

Khabib Nurmagomedov is currently riding on 27-0 winning streak and is undefeated in the MMA. Many fights fans already see ‘Eagle’ Pound for Pound great, but according to Khabib three wins over top tier fighters like Tony Ferguson, GSP, and Dustin Poirier will make him GOAT. Khabib will face the first target on his hit list, Dustin Poirier at UFC 242 on September 7 in Abu Dhabi.

While speaking with reporters at a UFC 242 press conference in London, Khabib details his plans and how he can cement his legacy.

“I have to beat Dustin, I have to beat Tony Ferguson, and I have to beat GSP,” Nurmagomedov said, per BJPenn.com’s Tom Taylor. “Then I can become pound-for-pound No.1 fighter. This is my opinion.”

Former interim champ Tony Ferguson and Khabib were scheduled to fight whopping fours times in the past however each time both fighters pulled out due to various reasons.

As for GSP is concerned he recently retired from MMA after talks of Khabib fight failed to come to fruition, even Russian insisted Georges St Pierre don’t retire until they fight. It’s unknown if Khabib will able to face Tony Ferguson or GSP down the road.
