Khabib Nurmagomedov Plans To Defend Title By End Of 2018

Undefeated Russian sensation Khabib Nurmagomedov who puts on a great show earlier this month at UFC 223 by claiming the undisputed UFC lightweight title and fight fans are eager to see who will be the worthy challenger for Dominant wrestler’s first title defense.

Russian champion set his sights on a fight with Conor Mcgregor, who will return to action this year, but due to his legal troubles following his Brooklyn rampage “Eagle” may not get the fight he’s ultimately looking for. However, Nurmagomedov released a statement Sunday afternoon via social media stated that he plans to defend his title at the end of this year.

Lightweight division is the most competitive division in #UFC At this moment, atmosphere is very heated: there is Conor and Tony, Porier, Lee and Alvarez, all of them are good. Fight with any of these guys would be very interesting and competitive. I never choose opponent, fought with any fighter who was offered me to fight, and I’m not going to change that. I’m coming back November – December to defend my belt. Whoever @ufc decide to fight me with, I’ll sign.

Should a fight with Conor McGregor fail to come to fruition, Khabib is open to lock horns with anyone UFC chooses.

A highly anticipated bout with Conor McGregor or Nate Diaz could be more lucrative for ‘eagle,’ but there’s no guarantee that any of that matchup will be made.

There is another option Tony ‘El Cucuy’ Ferguson who is sidelined due to a knee injury, and it could take a while to heal, but UFC president Dana White isn’t interested in to make that cursed match happen anymore.

Two lightweight contenders, Dustin Poirier and Kevin Lee both are coming off impressive victories in their most recent UFC Octagon appearances and put themselves in a good position to be considered for title shots. So this may have helped clear things up in the division, however.
