  • An argument with a flight attendant saw Khabib Nurmagomedov being kicked off the plane in his flight to Las Vegas for UFC 311
  • “The Eagle” is expected to corner his fellow Dagestani fighters in two title fights

Khabib Nurmagomedov got kicked off the plane after arguing with the flight crew.

From confusion to conflict

The former UFC lightweight champion was already on his seat when one of the flight crew approached him to discuss some “emergency rules.” Nurmagomedov, who was headed to Las Vegas to corner his fighters at UFC 311, was asked if he could perform the required tasks of a passenger seated near the plane’s emergency exit.

Nurmagomedov was initially confused of what was being asked from him and after a few back-and-forth, the situation escalated. It eventually led to him being kicked off the plane.

“Okay so what we’re gonna do is we either gonna have you switch your seats, because my flight attendants are not allowing you to sit in the exit row,” the flight attendant told Khabib. “Or you’re gonna have to get off this plane.”

“When I was in check-in, they asked me do I know English,” he countered. “And I say yes. Then why you guys do this?”

“I understand that, but it’s also off of their judgment,” she replied. “I’m not gonna to do this back and forth. I’ll go call a supervisor. You can either take a different seat or we can go ahead and escort you off the plane.”

Nurmagomedov should be at UFC 311 for his brothers

Needless to say, Nurmagomedov has to find a way to get to another plane and be in Las Vegas for fight week. “The Eagle” is expected to corner Islam Makhachev as he tries to defend his lightweight title against Arman Tsarukyan.

Nurmagomedov’s coaching is also essential for Uman Nurmagomedov’s title fight with Merab Dvalishvili.
