Khabib And Conor Have Vicious Back-And-Forth On Twitter

Some rivalries will never end. This seems to be the case between Conor McGregor, and Khabib Nurmagomedov.

The two had a back and forth on Twitter recently, following the announcement of Conor McGregor’s retirement. It began with a post from Khabib’s Instagram following his victory over Al Iaquinta, to win the UFC Lightweight Title.

“You got your money took and your brothers eye socket shook when you fought me you little rat. Viva Las Vegas baby the gaf always wins. Big stomper party in the Wynn coming soon! @ProperWhiskey @WynnLasVegas #ad”

Conor McGregor would make reference to the infamous brawl that took place following his fourth round submission loss to Khabib. During the scuffle, Khabib jumped out of the cage to attack Dillon Danis, while his teammates jumped in the cage to attack Conor. The parties involved were handed various fines and suspensions.

Khabib was quick to respond to McGregor though, bringing up the superstar’s recent retirement announcement.

“@TheNotoriousMMA money comes and goes, the honor that you lost that evening will never return, live with it. Finish career in mma, but start career on twitter? #twitterWarrior”

It would be safe to say there is still genuine heat between these two competitors. Although Conor McGregor’s retirement announcement has been met with skepticism, that is now another hoop to jump through for any sort of rematch. Prior to the announcement, Conor was talking about booking a return for July. It was not considered to be against Khabib Nurmagomedov, as Russian has opted to sit out from competition until the return of his teammates.
