Khabib Nurmagomedov Confirmed That UFC Signed His Cousin

Undefeated champ Khabib Nurmagomedov has confirmed over social media that the UFC has signed his cousin Abubakar.

Khabib Nurmagomedov’s name on the lips of virtually everyone who scores a dominant win over Brazilian striker Edson Barboza at UFC 219 on December 30 in Las Vegas.

Abubakar Nurmagomedov is a 14-1 welterweight will kick off his UFC debut on February 3 at the UFC Fight Night card in Belem, Brazil. Abubakar whose only loss came against the UFC’s Magomed Mustafaev and is a national combat sambo champion.

For the past two years, Abubakar been fighting for the World Series of Fighting(now known as the Pro Fighters League), where he earned notable wins over Matt Secor and John Howard and hadn’t fought since March of 2017.

Even Khabib Nurmagomedov’s manager, Ali Abdel-Aziz, also teased a potential match-up with Moraes on social media.

Moraes is coming off a knockout loss to Kamaru Usman in his last fight this past September.

With this transition, another Dagestani destroyer has their chance to make a mark on the world’s biggest stage.

UFC hasn’t officially announced an opponent for Abubakar, but UFC Belem will be headlined by former UFC Light Heavyweight champion, Lyoto Machida as he takes on Eryk Anders.
