Khabib Nurmagomedov Hits Cover Of Forbes Magazine

Khabib Nurmagomedov is one of the most successful fighters to ever compete in MMA. However, now he is being considered the most successful athlete in all of Russia.

Nurmagomedov hit a career high in 2018, starting with capturing the UFC’s Lightweight title. He would go on to add to his undefeated record, with a victory over Irish superstar Conor McGregor. This fight was a huge rivalry, which would end up shattering PPV record. Subsequently, Nurmagomedov would go on to finish McGregor in the fourth, before inciting a brawl.

Following this massive success, he was able to land a spot on the cover of Forbes Magazine. Subsequently, he was named the most successful Russian athlete. Additionally, he earned a spot as one of the top 40 most successful show business and sports personalilites under 40.

Check out this statement from UFC President Dana White, complimenting Nurmagomedov on this achievement.

CONGRATS @teamkhabib for the cover of Forbes Russia for being the #1 most successful Russian athlete and joining the list of the 40 most successful show business and sports personalities under 40.”

This is quite the achievement for Nurmagomedov, who is set to face Dustin Poirier at UFC 242. Ahead of this bout, he signed a new UFC contract. That being said, it is hard to imagine that any other fight would earn him the same amount of money as he got for the massive Conor fight. Unless, of course, he gets the elusive GSP fight.

Khabib Nurmagomedov looks to unify the lightweight titles, by taking on Interim Lightweight Champion Dustin Poirier. Additionally, this bout takes place in Abu Dhabi, on September 7th.
