Khabib Nurmagomedov has emerged victorious over Max Holloway in the metaverse.

Legionfarm put together this virtual reality event and actually beat the UFC to the metaverse craze. The special event featured commentary from Daniel Cormier and Islam Makhachev.

Of course, Khabib and Holloway didn’t actually throw down. Instead, the two went head-to-head in the VR boxing game Creed: Rise To Glory. The action took place on Feb. 12, hours before the UFC 271 PPV got underway.

Another Win For Khabib

Khabib picked Apollo Creed, while Holloway used Ivan Drago. In the end, Khabib’s Creed was too much for Holloway’s Drago. Cormier jokingly accused Khabib of being a dirty fighter.

Khabib Nurmagomedov and Max Holloway were supposed to meet in a real fight at UFC 223 back in April 2018. The fight never happened as Holloway was pulled due to illness. Al Iaquinta stepped up and Khabib defeated him via unanimous decision to become the UFC Lightweight Champion.

Legionfarm has aimed to bring gamers a virtual world experience. The company has made it possible for gamers to link up with athletes, content creators, and celebrities. On the platform, gamers pay to play with the pros in online multiplayer games such as Call of Duty: Warzone and Apex Legends.
