At UFC Vegas 114, held at Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, Kevin Vallejos defeated Josh Emmett by first‑round knockout in the featherweight main event.

Vallejos, a young contender ranked in the featherweight division, delivered a powerful finish that ended the fight early. Emmett, a veteran of many UFC cards, was unable to withstand the attack and was stopped in the opening round.

Josh Emmett entered the event as the more experienced fighter at 41 years old. He had competed for nearly ten years in the UFC and held records in knockdowns among featherweights. Emmett had been seeking to rebound after several recent losses.

Kevin Vallejos, at age 24, came into the main event as a rising star. Prior to this fight, he had remained unbeaten in his UFC career with three wins since joining the promotion in 2024 following a strong showing on the Contender Series.

UFC Vegas 114 featured a full fight card with matchups across different weight classes. Alongside the Emmett vs. Vallejos main event, the card included:

Amanda Lemos vs. Gillian Robertson at strawweight in the co‑main fight.

Other bouts on the main card and prelims with fighters such as Andre Fili, Ion Cutelaba, Marwan Rahiki, and Vitor Petrino.

The event streamed live on Paramount+ with preliminary fights beginning in the late afternoon and the main card later in the evening.

Vallejos’ first‑round knockout over Emmett solidified his place as one of the standout featherweights on the UFC roster. For Emmett, the loss continued a challenging period in his career, coming against a younger and aggressive opponent.
