Looks like Kevin Lee didn’t like the latest comments issued by Khabib Nurmagomedov, who claimed Kevin shows lack of the will in the octagon.
The war started when Kevin Lee criticized Nurmagomedov’s dominant victory over Edson Barboza at UFC 219, stating that Dagestani superstar looked terrible during the co-main event. (via bloodyelbow.com)
“I wasn’t too impressed with Khabib,” Lee told MMA Fighting at a UFC 222 media scrum earlier this month. “I’m gonna do ten times the work on Edson [at UFC Atlantic City] Khabib looked terrible in that fight. He was just barreling straight forward like a tank.”
Khabib Nurmagomedov fired back, calling Kevin Lee a fake tough guy with a very small heart. However, Kevin Lee, who is defeated by Tony Ferguson at UFC 216, replied in a split of a second. He started talking about Khabib’s weight cutting problems and accused “The Eagle” of “bitching out fights”.

Khabib Nurmagomedov should face Tony Ferguson at UFC 209 but he had to withdraw because of a devastating weight cut before the event. He was hospitalized but he fought Edson Barboza last year, returning to the top form.
Nurmagomedov and Ferguson are scheduled to face at UFC 223 for the undisputed UFC Lightweight Title. It is scheduled for April 7, 2018. This match was delayed few times, so Kevin Lee will probably have good arguments to continue provoking Dagestani superstar.
Kevin Lee is ranked in the top-eight, and he is expected to fight Conor McGregor at the end of the year. He also hopes of securing his title rematch with Tony Ferguson.
