Kayla Harrison: “I Am Going To Beat Cris Cyborg If She Comes To The PFL”

Although Cris Cyborg is fresh off of being released from her UFC contract by Dana White, her star power seems to have landed her a new gig. After putting on an absolute beating of Felicia Spencer and scoring a decision victory at UFC 240, Cyborg decided to take her talents to the team that America runs on… Dunkin’ Donuts.

Details of the deal have not entirely surfaced, but sources have unveiled that Cris will make several public appearances at numerous Dunkin’ Donuts shops as a working barista.

Although Cris seems to be thoroughly relishing in fulfilling the obligations of her deal by making coffees, donuts, and egg white bowls for fans, it hasn’t stopped PFL’s Kayla Harrison from calling out the Brazillian legend faster than it takes to cool off a premium Dunkin’ hot latte.

It’s no secret that Kayla Harrison is confident in her abilities, as she is no stranger to calling out other female legends of the sport such as Ronda Rousey. While speaking to TMZ, Harrison stated:

“First of all, it’s at 155 pounds so she wouldn’t be dying to make the weight like she does at 145. I’m going to beat Cris Cyborg if she comes to the PFL, and I don’t think anyone else could offer her that. Plus, it’s a ‘you win, you fight, you move on’ type of atmosphere so she’s not going to have to worry about the promoters liking or not liking her, which seems to be a big problem for her.”

Enthusiasts and Harrison herself conclude that the addition of Cris to the PFL would make the most sense in terms of offering more reasonable competition with female combatants her size. While the addition of Cyborg to the PFL would be in remarkably profitable to both parties, Harrison has other obstacles ahead of her before she can focus on California’s brand-new nonalcoholic drink maker.

With Harrison slated to face Genah Fabian at PFL 7 on October 11, it doesn’t seem like Cyborg vs Harrison is in the cards for the immediate future. Kayla is focused on advancing in the PFL Women’s Featherweight tournament and winning the million-dollar prize, while Cris is enjoying her free agency and new Dunkin’ deal furthermore enduring relevance doing so. Until a deal is finalized to send Cyborg to the PFL, you’ll just have to catch her at your local Dunkin’.
