Three of the PFL’s biggest stars started their season off with a bang.

Results

Former world champions Kayla Harrison, Anthony Pettis and Rory Macdonald would simply shine at PFL 3. Ray Cooper III?— not so much.

‘The Red King’ would reign supreme in his return to the PFL. Macdonald made quick work of his opponent Brett Cooper. After getting a takedown, Macdonald would mount Cooper and dominate.

The former Bellator Champion would land a plethora of punches on the ground before sinking in a rear-naked choke. Macdonald would earn a quick six points to begin his 2022 season.

Pettis would follow suit with his fellow former UFC star. ‘Showtime’ would certainly show out, getting ahold of Myles Price in the first round. Pettis locked in a triangle submission from the bottom, then transitioned to top control.

The victorious Pettis would  get six points to place him on top of the lightweight leaderboard.

What about Ray Cooper, the returning PFL Champion? Well, things didn’t go according to plan for ‘Bradda Boy’. And no, we’re not just talking about him missing weight by 5lbs. Cooper would fail in his return to the league.

Carlos Leal would be the one to spoil his party, securing a dominating decision win over the former kingpin.

Kayla Harrison has steamrolled all of her opposition at the PFL. The train wouldn’t stop at PFL 3, it was just more of the same. However, no finish for the high-caliber Harrison this time around.

Harrison would defeat her opponent by Marina Mohkhnatkina by unanimous decision. Following the win, Harrison referred to her performance as ‘dog crap’. But hey, a win is a win.
