The UFC’s biggest stars aren’t short on movie ideas. Neither is Kamaru Usman.
Conor McGregor wants Jared Leto to play himself in a UFC movie. Nate Diaz wants Hugh Jackman. Israel Adesanya? He pitched Pete Davidson.
Usman’s Pick
Now what about the UFC Welterweight Champion? Well, Kamaru Usman did happen to have a name in mind.
“Of course he’s a lot older than me, I would have have to say Jamie Foxx,” Usman told Middle Easy at the UFC 274 post-fight press conference.
“That would be a wise choice, but of course he’s older than me.”
The 54 year-old Jamie Foxx may be 20 years older than Usman, but he’s still got it. The actor isn’t a stranger to play famous fighters on the big screen. Just last year, it was revealed that Foxx would play Mike Tyson in a biopic series.
Foxx is also known for recently playing ‘Electro’ in box-office hit ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’.
Idris Elba?
While Foxx would be the #1 contender for a Kamaru Usman movie, ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ was also open to having another actor in that role.
“That too,” Usman said, when a reporter brought up Idris Elba. “My man, that too!”
