Junior dos Santos Wants To Avenge Loses To Cain Velasquez, Miocic & Overeem

Junior dos Santos “Would Love” To Fight Cain Velasquez, But Also Stipe Miocic And “Maybe Even” Alistair Overeem Again!

If you are a new UFC fan, you have missed one of the most interesting Heavyweight rivalries. Especially when we look back at the first fight between Cain Velasquez and Junior dos Santos. “Cigano” put the Mexican UFC Heavyweight champ to sleep after only 64 seconds via fabulous KO at UFC On Fox 1 on November 12, 2011.

Cain Velasquez won their second match via unanimous decision at UFC 155 on December 29, 2012, and regained the UFC Heavyweight belt. Their third clash at UFC 166 on October 19, 2013, was ended via weird slam and punch KO. Both fighters were covered in blood. Junior dos Santos literally collapsed on his head from the exhaustion in the fifth-round. Velasquez won this match. It was one of the best title fights ever. Five years passed since their last spectacle but dos Santos wants their fourth match.

Junior dos Santos also targets Stipe Miocic and Alistair Overeem. Let’s look back. “The Baddest Man On The Planet” stopped Junior dos Santos via TKO at UFC 211. “The Demolition Man” sent dos Santos to the ground via outstanding left hook at UFC On Fox 17. He finished the match with a barrage of hammer fists.

Junior dos Santos believes all three fighters aren’t better than him. According to dos Santos, he lost those matches because of his own errors! (h/t MMAMania.com)

“That would be great to have a fourth fight with Velasquez,” Dos Santos told Submission Radio. “No doubt I would love to fight him again, I would love to fight Miocic again. And maybe even Alistair Overeem. He did great in his last fight, so maybe we can have also a rematch. I wanna fight this guy. Because in my mind I committed mistakes in those fights. That’s why they won. They are not better than me. And if they think that’s done, it’s not done. The only way it’s done is if they go away like Cain Velasquez is doing – going away. Then it’s done. If they stay here and they fight in the UFC, it’s not done and I’m coming for them.”

Junior dos Santos is set to fight the Australian competitor Tai Tuivasa at the main event of UFC Fight Night 142. “Bam Bam” has a great MMA score of eight wins (seven via KO), and zero losses. “Cigano” will have a hard time because Tuivasa fights in front of his home fans!

Junior dos Santos demonstrated the power of his strikes at the main event of UFC Fight Night 133 this summer. He outpunched the former WSOF Heavyweight champion, Blagoy Ivanov. The Brazilian even survived one extremely strong left hand in the third round! Dos Santos won via unanimous decision (50-45,50-45,50-45).

Would you like to see Cain Velasquez Vs Junior dos Santos 4? Or you’d prefer dos Santos to face Miocic or Overeem? Well, it would be one hell of a spectacle to watch!
