Julian Lane suffered defeat in his return to MMA, but it wasn’t dull by any means.
Lane took on former UFC fighter Austin Hubbard at the XMMA 5 event this past weekend. It was Lane’s first MMA fight since 2018.
Unfortunately for him, it didn’t go his way as he ended up losing a unanimous decision.
While he was being controlled on the ground and eating elbows, Lane even took the opportunity to trash talk Hubbard to no avail.
You can watch it below:

Here’s what Lane was saying to Hubbard from the bottom:
“Stand up. Let’s go man, f**k you doing? Holding me down like a b***h. I don’t give a f**k. You want to bang? F**k is that? What you gonna’ do? You ain’t doin’ nothing b***h,” Lane said (via LowKick MMA). “You’re a hoe, that’s why they [UFC] cut you bro.
“You can’t get into the UFC like this.”
Julian Lane Returns To MMA After Bare Knuckle Spell
Of course, Hubbard competed seven times in the UFC, so it’s ironic that Lane would tell him he couldn’t get into the UFC by holding him down.
That’s even more so the case given that Lane never actually competed in the UFC. He became a household name in MMA during his time on The Ultimate Fighter where his “I wanna bang, bro” line became an evergreen meme.
Since his defeat to Dakota Cochrane at a DCS event back in May 2018, Lane has been competing exclusively for BKFC where he held a 3-6 record. One of those defeats notably came to former UFC welterweight Mike Perry.
As for what’s next for Lane remains to be seen. But it wouldn’t be surprising to see him in action once again.
