Josh Hokit says head coach Greg Jackson will miss his UFC White House fight with Derrick Lewis for personal reasons, then turned it into a joke by asking if the ring girls could corner him instead.
Hokit says he will face Lewis without Greg Jackson in his corner, which is a real wrinkle for a fast-turnaround heavyweight fight against one of the division’s hardest hitters.
Hokit posted the update himself and wrote:
“My coach Greg Jackson will not be coaching me on the White House fight for personal reasons. I don’t have a coach now … will the ring girls corner me please … tag them for me.”
The timing matters because Hokit is jumping right back in after his breakout war with Curtis Blaydes. The UFC moved quickly after Dana White booked him for the White House card following UFC 327, and the extra buzz around him kept building when Paddy Pimblett admitted Hokit earned his respect after that fight.

Greg Jackson’s absence gives Derrick Lewis fight a different feel
Lewis is not the kind of opponent you want instability against. He only needs one opening to change a fight, and Hokit is already taking this booking on a short reset after a punishing night with Blaydes. Losing a veteran head coach from the corner adds another variable, even if Hokit presented it with a laugh.
That is enough to make this more than a throwaway social post. Hokit made people laugh, but he also revealed that one of the most important pieces of his fight-night setup will be missing when he meets Derrick Lewis.
