Josh Fremd has turned his PFL reset into back-to-back knockout wins.
Fremd stopped Jhony Gregory with punches at 1:44 of Round 2 on the PFL Charlotte main card Friday at Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, North Carolina. The middleweight bout aired on ESPN.
The win pushed Fremd to 13-6 and left Gregory at 11-5. It was Fremd’s second straight PFL knockout after a March finish of Jarrah Al-Salawi, giving the former UFC fighter the kind of streak he never found during his UFC run.

Round Details
Round 1: Gregory started faster, attacking the legs and face before Fremd tied him up to slow the pace. Fremd landed along the cage and scored a takedown late, but Gregory threatened with a guillotine and did enough early damage to take the opening round on all three media cards.
Round 2: Fremd walked forward on a tiring Gregory, absorbed return fire, and then changed the fight with a heavy overhand right. Two follow-up shots sent Gregory down and forced the stoppage.
UFC Exit Turns Into PFL Momentum
Fremd went 2-4 in the UFC between 2022 and 2024, with wins over Sedriques Dumas and Jamie Pickett but losses to Anthony Hernandez, Tresean Gore, Roman Kopylov, and Andre Petroski. PFL has given him a different lane, and he has used it by finishing two straight middleweights.
His March knockout of Al-Salawi came in the third round. This one came quicker, and it landed on the same card where Bryan Battle was still trying to rebuild from his PFL debut against Johnny Eblen.
Gregory entered the bout with a 1-1 PFL mark and had the sharper first five minutes. Fremd’s second-round pressure flipped that read, giving him a clean finish rather than another decision grind.
The result also keeps Fremd attached to a broader PFL middleweight picture that already includes high-profile debate over PFL talent crossing into UFC conversations and MVP-PFL crossover pressure around Jake Paul.
