Jorge Santiago thought Brian Stann would be an easy fight

SCRAPPED.

Can you imagine being in a position where you are locked in a cage with an ex-US Marine for at fifteen minutes — and you feel over confident about your situation? Even the US Marine replica models look intimidating and make me lose focus. We now know that Jorge Santiago clearly does not share my feelings, after admitting to Tatame that being too relaxed cost him his fight with Brian Stann.

“I guess what went wrong is that I was too confident. I didn’t feel the pressure by the fans, of having everybody staring at me. I was to at ease, I thought it’d be easy and I lost focus. I didn’t do what I could’ve done”

You can only achieve this state of Zen like state in a cage by fighting in Japan — or practicing the YES! Cartwheel. [Source]
