Masvidal Makes Video To Issue Message To The Two Contenders

Jorge Masvidal appears to have his next fight set up. Luckily, he didn’t let that stop him from continuing to take aim at multiple people.

Following Jorge Masvidal’s second round KO of Darren Till in England, he got into a fistfight backstage with Leon Edwards. Although to many this seemed like the perfect fight for “Gamebred” to take next, the UFC went another route.

Dana White announced that he was looking to book Masvidal in a match with Ben Askren. It was widely believed that Askren would rematch Robbie Lawler after their controversial first fight. However, it was announced that Lawler would instead face Tyron Woodley. This left Ben Askren available for the match.

Masvidal clearly is ready for either athlete though, as evident by a video posted to Instagram. He referred to Askren and Edwards as “two little sl–s,” while saying Askren ran from him.

“One’s not in the Top 10, and the other one that is, hasn’t got a victory got a victory in the UFC. Didn’t make the dude tap, Robbie Lawler. Didn’t put him to sleep, but you think you have a win in the UFC. Who are you fooling? You can fool the crowd but you can’t fool me playboy. When I seen you in the hotel, what did you do? You ran away like a little bi–h.”

Masvidal went on to say he was going to slap Askren. Ben Askren was quick to respond back on Twitter, calling Masvidal a liar.

Although he was sure to mention Leon Edwards, it would appear that Jorge Masvidal will likely be facing Askren in the near future. Either way, the back and forth between these top welterweights is fun to watch.
