Jorge Masvidal doesn’t think Kamaru Usman is ‘unbeatable’.
Masvidal still thinks Usman is beatable
Even after two dominating losses to the UFC Welterweight Champion, Masvidal doesn’t seem to think Usman is all that skilled, even on the feet. A year following a devastating KO loss to Usman, Masvidal sees some holes in the ‘beatable’ fighter.
“I know he is beatable,” Usman said on the Impaulsive Podcast. “There is not a man alive that is unbeatable. Take the second round out of it, the first round I got up and started landing some big shots on him.”
‘He’s Not A Legit Striker’
Masvidal would even go as far as saying Usman’s striking wasn’t ‘special’. Wow.
“The first knee I threw he took me down off it, the second knee I hit him with, hit him in the chest and my thigh hit him on the jaw and wobbled him a little bit. On the feet he’s nothing special, man. He might have got me, but he’s nothing special on the feet, he’s not like a legit striker on the feet yet.”
Well, that’s a very hot take from ‘Gamebred’ who experienced a ‘game over’ from Usman on the feet. Usman would be the first fighter to knock out Masvidal in his 50-fight career at UFC 261.
‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ put Masvidal to bed with a thunderous right hook to end his night.

Even so, Masvidal isn’t going to give too much credit to the striking abilities of Usman.
Usman is more known for his credentials in the wrestling department, but his hands are quickly catching fire. His championship reign has proved that, finishing each opponent he has defended the title against.
