Jorge Masvidal became super famous when he knocked out Ben Askren in just five seconds during their fight in 2019. It was so fast, everyone couldn’t stop talking about it. Later that same year, Jorge won the UFC BMF belt after the doctor had to stop his fight with Nate Diaz because of a bad cut on Nate’s eye.

Jorge Masvidal Announces His UFC Comeback Date

After having a great year, Masvidal got a shot at the welterweight title against Kamaru Usman on short notice, but things didn’t go as planned. He lost to Usman twice, and then had a tough fight with Colby Covington, which ended in another loss.

Masvidal left the UFC to look for bigger paydays, and even fought Nate Diaz again in boxing, but lost.

Since then, he’s been working hard on his own promotion, Gamebred Promotions, hosting events.

Despite being busy with his promotion, Masvidal has teased a return to the UFC and has now confirmed the month he plans to come back, revealing the promotion’s plan for the fight location.

“I’ll be back in April next year in the UFC, we don’t have the opponent yet, hopefully by December we’ve got the opponent and April, Miami card,” Masvidal said on Jake Shields AJJ.

The UFC hasn’t announced any events after March next year, but Masvidal is confident that they’ll return to Miami, the “Magic City,” in April.

Fans are guessing if Jorge Masvidal and Leon Edwards will finally face off in the cage. Leon Edwards, who lost his welterweight title to Belal Muhammad in July at UFC 304, has been keeping quiet about his next move.

The UFC recently announced they will return to London at the O2 Arena in March 2025. Fans were excited to speculate about who might headline the event. Some thought popular fighter Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett could be the one, but Leon Edwards confirmed he will be the main event when UFC returns to London.
