- Conor McGregor and Jorge Masvidal traded insults on social media
- “Gamebred” claims he’s the best fight there is for “The Notorious”
As he edges closer to his highly-anticipated UFC return, Conor McGregor crossed paths with Jorge Masvidal on social media. Both UFC pay-per-view stars have earned quite a reputation for being sick trash-talkers, the inevitable happened.
Masvidal and McGregor have been going at it on Twitter lately with the former vowing to “give everything inside” of him to dismantle “The Notorious.” As expected, McGregor hit back.
War of words
In a recent tweet, McGregor insulted Masvidal and called him “pigeon brain.”
“An absolute pigeon brain this guy is. Stupid beyond belief,” McGregor wrote
Conor McGregor doesn’t think Jorge Masvidal is very intelligent. 🧠

The Irishman’s dig did not go unnoticed as the UFC’s “BMF” swiftly clapped back. However, it appears that Masvidal is not in the mood to do some explaining. Instead, he made quite a straightforward response and told McGregor that he’s the “biggest fight” he could ever have in his career.
“This pea brain is the biggest fight of your life,” Masvidal tweeted in response to McGregor. “So you’re either too scared or too stupid to get this check.”

McGregor is still searching for the best opponent
A number of names are being thrown but McGregor’s opponent has yet to be determined. In the welterweight division, a trilogy bout with Nate Diaz is still being mentioned. Masvidal’s agent Malik Kawa, meanwhile, previously claimed that his team has already offered the former UFC two-division king a fight several times but McGregor kept on turning it down.
In the lightweight division, McGregor is also being linked to an array of contenders, including Michael Chandler.
