Jorge Masvidal Looking For A Fight With Nate Diaz

Jorge Masvidal is, without a doubt, a real gangster in the cage. Now, he is calling for a fight with another gangster, Nate Diaz.

Masvidal is set to face Ben Askren, in a highly anticipated contest. However, ahead of this UFC 239 bout, he is looking to a bigger opponent. There was a brief rumor about a fight between he, and Nick Diaz. With that in mind, Masvidal was asked, in an interview with BJPenn Radio, about a fight with Nick’s brother Nate.

“Oh I definitely would love to, man, Nate’s a warrior, he’s going to get in there and fight, you know, there’s no question about it, he’s going to just fight. I haven’t done my homework, is [Nate] a 170-pounder or is he doing this because Pettis is just a ’55er and … and they both just agreed to fight at ’70 and not cut the weight so they could give it all in the fight night and both of them just go in there and give it what they got in the fight instead of cutting weight? I don’t know if Nate is a long time ‘70-pounder now or what’s happening. But if he is, if he’s staying at ‘70 and that fight gets offered me, I’d love to fight Nate.”

This could be an interesting fight to make, between these two exciting athletes. Ironically, Jorge Masvidal just took Diaz’s opponent, Anthony Pettis, to a draw in a grappling match. So perhaps, after facing his opponent, Masvidal can take on Nate Diaz, himself.

Nate Diaz takes on Anthony Pettis at UFC 241. Additionally, Jorge Masvidal faces Ben Askren at UFC 239.
