Jorge Masvidal finds contentment in beating people up

Before we published this article, if you googled the phrase: ‘finds contentment in beating people up’ you would get zero results. That’s amazing. Apparently no one has ever been quoted or typed out that phrase in the history of the internet. We have Jorge Masvidal and his love of just plain beating folks up to thank for giving us our very own ‘first’ in google history. We owe it all to Jorge in his recent BleacherReport interview where he expresses just how much he enjoys repeatedly punching someone in the face and gut and what he hopes to do to Gilbert Melendez in December.

“Winning via submission was cool. Knockouts and submissions are cool. But my favourite way to beat somebody is to beat them up, like in my recent Evangelista and KJ Noons fight. Sometimes, it’s almost disappointing to finish a guy in the first round. I like to comprehensively beat somebody up in every area of the game. The guys who always stuck out to me were Pernell Whitaker and Floyd Mayweather. You can do whatever you want to those guys, but you just aren’t going to win. Like against me, throw, kick, but you just aren’t going to get the better of me.”

“Stoppages are cool, but most of the time, I’m just content to beat somebody up. And in fact, my favourite type of KO is via a body blow, because your opponent makes a conscious decision to end the fight. When you knock somebody unconscious, they are left with no choice in the matter.”

“I’m gonna smash Gilbert, get a nice paycheck and then onto the next one”

Jorge Masvidal finds pleasure in slowly beating an opponent into submission. Intriguingly sadistic. If the banner picture above this article is the facial expression Jorge makes while he feels content in pummeling his opponent into surrender, I’d be frightened to see him when he is angry. His face might contort into something that looks like Pennywise and there is nothing scarier on this planet than creepy clown faces. [source]
