Jorge Masvidal Responded To Leon Edwards: “I Was Promised A Title Shot, I Plan On Cashing In On It”
Leon Edwards scored a unanimous decision win over the former 155-pound champion Rafael dos Anjos in the main event of UFC on ESPN 4 last night.
Immediately after the bout, the dangerous Brit challenged Jorge Masvidal for a fight. In the case you forgot, the two took part in a backstage incident at UFC London.
Jorge scored a KO win over Darren Till, while Leon Edwards outlasted Gunnar Nelson at the same card. Whatever Leon told Masvidal, it seems Jorge didn’t like it, because he started hitting the Brit.

Since this incident, the two went back-and-forth on social media. So this was probably Leon’s attempt to settle their misunderstandings.
Jorge Masvidal, who recently scored the fastest knockout in the history of UFC over Ben Askren, was quick to reply on his Twitter.

Jorge later explained that he was promised a title bout if he scores a win over Ben Askren at UFC 239. “Gamebred” says Edwards should stay away from challenging him until he wins the 170-pound belt.
So I can be clear I was promised a title shot after I beat askren and I plan on cashing in on it. Don’t call me out no more until I get that belt #supernecessary
