Jorge Masvidal is not about to admit to his altercation with Colby Covington in Miami.

Back in March former UFC welterweight Jorge Masvidal got himself into some trouble. While in Miami, where he resides, Masvidal was involved in an altercation with his former opponent, Colby Covington. The incident happened on March 23, just two weeks after UFC 272 where Masvidal and Covington fought in the main event. There was bad blood leading up to the fight and then when Covington won by unanimous decision the bad blood was not settled.

According to reports, the pair met outside of a Miami steak house and got into an altercation. Covington pressed charges as a result of Masvidal punching him in the face, damaging his teeth and his property. A court date is still pending and now Masvidal is denying being involved at all.

Jorge Masvidal will not admit to being involved in an altercation with Colby Covington

Masvidal was recently a guest on the BS with Jake Paul podcast. While there he was asked about many fight topics including his relationship with Covington. When asked about the altercation Masvidal turned to denial.

“That’s allegedly this, allegedly that” Masvidal told the BS w/ Jake Paul podcast. “I wasn’t even there bro, they saying a lot of sh-t, bro. I wasn’t even there! That guy (owner of the restaurant) loves me. I ran into him the other night because I’ve run into him a couple of times. He was like, ‘Man, since that little rumor, that you were allegedly there, reservations went through the roof like 530 percent.’ I told him that I would love to take these nice vibes you’re giving me but that was allegedly, as we both know. Colby’s a b-tch. If he was here right now he would run the f–k out.”

His playing coy was a joke as he was arrested and charged with a few felonies as a result of the brawl. “Gamebred” has since retired from the UFC so it seems a rematch with Covington is out of the question at least for the time being. Masvidal is currently putting fighting behind him and is focusing on running his Gamebred Fighting organization. However, his recent link-up with Paul seems to have started some rumors that they may fight one day.
