Jorge Masvidal Promised Painful And Brutal End For Ben Askren This Saturday
Ben Askren and Jorge Masvidal have been exchanging trash talk on social media in the lead up to their welterweight showdown at UFC 239 this Saturday from inside T-Mobile Arena Las Vegas Nevada. Masvidal even warned Askren that he’s going to hurt him and intends to drag the violence out for as long as possible while interacting with fans during open workouts. (h/t MMAFighting)
“We’re gonna do it painfully and brutally,” Masvidal said. “That’s for sure. I don’t like this dude as everybody here knows, so it’s gonna be brutal. It’s gonna be painful. I don’t know what round, but it’s gonna be painful.”
Masvidal recently scored a knockout win over Darren Till at UFC London said Saturday’s fight would end differently.
“This is different,” Masvidal said. “Darren Till woke up eventually, I don’t know if brother’s going to wake up.”
A natural talent of getting under people’s skin ‘Funky’ would be ready for any violence Masvidal will bring. Askren instead could drag his opponent ‘Gamebred’ to the canvas and batter his foe with his world-class wrestling.
Masvidal also said he’ll give Askren choice what kind of beating he wants.
“I’m gonna give him options,” Masvidal said. “We got all the way from the three-piece and the soda to the family pack with a two-liter soda, he can pick out what he wants.”
