Jon Jones Comments On Stipe Miocic’s UFC 241 Victory Over Daniel Cormier, Called Stipe “The Greatest Heavyweight Of All Time”

Daniel Cormier squared off against Stipe Miocic in the main event of UFC 241 PPV (pay-per-view) event, which went down last night (Saturday, August 17, 2019) from inside Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

Despite Cormier was excellent in the first three rounds, but Stipe changed the tactics in the fourth and landed many left uppercuts to the liver, which confused Cormier, then finished him with a superb punch combo against the cage.

Daniel Cormier previously turned the lights out on Stipe Miocic at UFC 226, so Stipe avenged the loss.

Cormier’s bitter rival and 205-pound champ Jon Jones took to his Twitter after the main event of UFC 241 and praised Stipe Miocic.

“Stipe is hands down the greatest heavyweight of all time. I have nothing else to say.”

But Jon Jones posted two more tweets a few minutes later.

“Now can we stop playing games with these pound for pound rankings already.”

“I guess losses don’t matter when you’re getting paid so much on the front end.”

Jones and Cormier went back-and-forth on social media so many times. Jones outlasted Cormier in their first match at UFC 182, and also scored a stoppage win in their second fight at UFC 214, which was later overturned to no contest because Jones’ samples were positive on Turinabol.

Jon Jones last stepped inside the Octagon in the main event of UFC 239, where he earned a controversial split decision win over heavily injured Thiago Santos.

Dana White once said that potential trilogy match between Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier might happen at 205.
