Jon Jones recognizes the dangers of Power Slap but he will still continue showing his support for Dana White.

Jon is loyal to the boss

Speaking to Nina-Marie Daniele, “Bones” shared his real thoughts on White’s notorious Power Slap league. According to Jones, slap fighting is “different” but it’s not a negative thing like some people claim it is.

Moreover, Jones knows that it’s not for everybody as it could cause some serious health issues but there’s no way he is not supporting any project of the UFC boss.

”Honestly, I support anything that Dana White is doing. It’s [Power Slap] is different, but different doesn’t necessarily mean bad. It’s giving some tough guys out there a chance at fame, what they do with their fame is up to them. It’s entertaining people, it’s giving people a home. There are different strokes for different folks. But yeah, I do think it’s very dangerous,” Jones said.

“You’re gonna get slapped and that’s the thing I don’t quite support. It’s a wild sport. But I respect you guys, I really do cause it takes some balls to stand there get slapped in the face in front of the world,” he added.

Dana declares Jones as P4P best fighter in the world

Jones pulled off yet another stellar performance by stopping Stipe Miocic at UFC 309 to defend his light heavyweight title. As expected, White raved about “Bones” once again. This time, the UFC president hailed Jones as the rightful and unquestioned “pound-for-pound best fighter in the world.

As it stands, White is in favor of Jones taking on Tom Aspinall for a unification bout. It’s interesting to see how things will paly out between the two who have been constantly supporting each other as “Bones” prefers a showdown with Alex Pereira.
