- Jon Jones responded to Tom Aspinall’s callout on social media
- “Honey Badger” will be the backup fighter for Jones vs. Stipe Miocic
Jon Jones reacted to Tom Aspinall’s callout following his TKO win over Curtis Blaydes at UFC 304.
Tom got a response from Jon
Immediately after finishing Blaydes, “Honey Badger” made it clear that he wants to take on nobody else but “Bones.” Unsurprisingly, Aspinall’s callout did not go unnoticed as Jones made a cryptic response on social media.
“Supply and demand at its finest, I love it,” Jones wrote on X.

Aspinall claimed that Jones was hoping to see Blaydes win at UFC 304 but unfortunately, it did not play out the way he expected it to be.
“Jon’s the undisputed champion, but I’m the best in the world, if that makes any sense,” Aspinall said in his post-fight presser. “We know what Jon’s doing. Jon was there, crossing his fingers and toes tonight hoping I’d lose to Curtis, let’s not bullshit about it. He posted about it loads anyway that I’m going to lose to him. That didn’t happen, so that’s the fight I want next.”
Jones vs. Aspinall is likely to happen soon
Due to his impressive 60-second TKO win over Blaydes, “Honey Badger” got UFC president Dana White pleased. According to the UFC boss, Aspinall has earned the right to become the backup fighter for the much-awaited heavyweight title fight between Jones and Stipe Miocic.
That said, Aspinall’s patience could now pay off as he would be stepping in if something happens and Miocic had to pull out from the fight. The win over Blaydes saw Aspinall retaining his interim heavyweight title and improving his winning streak to three in a row. He now has a total of 12 wins via KO/TKO.
