Jon Jones To Daniel Cormier: ‘Man Just Stop’

Daniel Cormier was expected to face Brock Lesnar in a money fight sometime this year but since Lesnar announced his retirement “DC” instead has to rematch Stipe Miocic at UFC 241 in Anaheim on August 17th.

Before hanging his gloves for good UFC heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier aiming for third Jon Jones fight after Stipe Miocic rematch.

Yesterday at Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show on ESPN, Daniel Cormier said he’s unfinished business with Jones and he’ll fight him at 205-pound.

Both superstars met twice in the past. In their first encounter, Jones defeated Cormier via unanimous decision at UFC 182 in January of 2015. They went on to meet for a second time at UFC 214, and this times Jon Jones emerged victorious again via knockout. Hence the results of this fight overturned to no contest after ‘Bones’ tested positive for a banned substance.

After acknowledging Cormier’s desire of wanting a third fight Jon Jones responded.

“Somebody tell that man to just stop already.” Jones wrote.

Jones is currently slated to face Thiago Santos at UFC 239 on July 6, and Cormier set to rematch Miocic at UFC 241 in August.

If both fighters emerged victoriously, there could be a possibility of trilogy down the road.

Feel free to share your opinion, should Cormier run for the third time against Jones?
