Jon Jones, the famous UFC champion, knocked out Stipe Miocic on Saturday night at UFC 309, just hours after Jake Paul beat Mike Tyson in Dallas. It was a fun weekend with lots of fights in the ring and octagon. Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic put on an awesome show at Madison Square Garden, but the fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson was boring. Fans were sad because Jake Paul didn’t fight hard, letting Tyson go through eight slow rounds.

Jon Jones Feels Bad Seeing Mike Tyson ‘Looking Old’ Against Jake Paul

Even though Jon Jones was getting ready for a big fight just hours away, he still found time to watch Mike Tyson’s return to boxing. He was one of many people who watched on Netflix, but he was sad to see Tyson having a hard time and looking older.

“I did catch the fight,” Jones told the reporters post winning UFC 309 fight. “It was hard to see him so old. Roy Jones Jr kept saying it ‘man, those legs aren’t working’. It was really hard to see.

“He really sold it with the highlight videos of him training and his physique… It was hard to watch, but I respect him so much for getting in there, that was the cool part. I’m sure they compensated him very well.

“Also, he got to give a bunch of fans what they wanted which is just to be alive to see him compete. And for that part alone I thank him and I’m sure a lot of us thank him.”

Jon Jones Laughs at Mike Tyson’s Fashion Slip-Up

One of the funniest moments of the night happened when the camera stayed on Mike Tyson a little too long in the dressing room. After he said he would win, the camera showed his underwear, revealing his butts. Lots of people, including Conor McGregor, laughed and shared videos that went viral. Jon Jones also joked that he didn’t want to see that on TV.

“I wish he wouldn’t have shown us his a**, that was a little wild,” Jones joked during his recap of the event. “I was like ‘Mike, you didn’t have to do that’. Mike’s a freak I bet, Mike you old nasty old man. You old dirty b******, you.

Jon Jones thinks Jake Paul didn’t really choose to help Mike Tyson. After the fight, lots of fans wondered if Jake Paul was being nice and letting Tyson last longer in the fight. Jake said he did, but Jon Jones isn’t so sure about that.

“I don’t think Jake gave him mercy,” Jones said in response to the claims that he had helped Tyson make it to the final bell. “I think Jake played it smart and that’s what it was. I think Jake knows that ‘you’re winning, let’s stop while you’re ahead and let’s coast and get through this fight’.

“Because Mike can drop anyone with just one shot, his legs weren’t working but that upper body was still moving and those punches were still swinging and I didn’t view it as Jake giving him mercy, Jake coasted through that like an intelligent fighter would.”
