Jon Jones is describing what sets some fighters apart from others.

UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones may be nearing the end of his legendary career. Jones is often regarded at the top of many people‘s “Greatest Of All-Time” list when it comes to mixed martial arts. Now after many ups and downs throughout his career, Jones is toying with the idea of hanging his gloves for good. He believes he may have one more fight in him although the opponent and date have not yet been set. As he nears the conclusion of his UFC run Jones is sharing a bit of insight with his followers on social media .

Jones is not as active on Twitter as he used to be. There were times when he got himself into trouble for starting fights online but has cooled off quite a bit. After three years away from the UFC after relinquishing the light heavyweight title Jones seems to have a new calm demeanor about him. He spoke in the past about the changes he made during his hiatus which led him to return and be crowned the heavyweight champion, a.k.a. “The Baddest Man On The Planet.” Now Jones is citing passion for what is setting him apart from the others.

Jon Jones thinks that passion is the difference between a successful fighter and the others

Seemingly out of the blue Jones took to Twitter on Wednesday morning to tweet out a bit of insight. He sent out some words of wisdom regarding passion in the sport and how he feels that being able to be resilient in a sport is what can create success.

Jones comes from a family of professional athletes. His two brothers are professional football players and Jones’ physical attributes certainly set him apart from many other fighters of the same size. However, Jones is not giving too much credit to the training and physical appearance and is saying that to be successful in the sport mix martial arts one must become obsessed with it.

Jones has been linked to a fight with former champion Stipe Miocic, although it seems that they are having trouble nailing down a date. Miocic originally wanted to fight in July, and Jones wants to fight in November in Madison Square Garden, but it is yet to be determined which date they will settle on. He has also been going back and forth with boxing heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and could be setting himself up for a bout with him upon the completion of his UFC career
