Jon Jones Mocks Daniel Cormier Reaching GOAT Status If He Beats Miocic At UFC 226

It’s no secret that Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier do not like each other. Jones has laughed off the notion of Cormier becoming the GOAT of all time if he beats Stipe Miocic at UFC 226.

Cormier already lost twice to Jones, first at UFC 182, then knocked out by him two years later at UFC 214. That win, however, was changed to a no contest after Jones was popped by United States Anti Doping Agency (USADA). Later Bones was stripped of the title and removed from the official UFC rankings.

Earlier this year, light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier said beating Stipe Miocic at UFC 226 for the heavyweight title would make him greatest fighter of all time.

This showdown provides Cormier with the opportunity to become only the second fighter in UFC history to hold two belts simultaneously. At the moment former champion Conor McGregor is the only other fighter to own belts from two weight divisions at the same time, and although that position was short-lived.

As of now if Cormier scores a win at UFC 226, no doubt he can put himself in a position to be called greatest of all time.

One of Cormier’s bitter rivals, Jon Jones doesn’t agree with that suggestion when UFC asked the question on Twitter and he discredits him from being the GOAT via social media post:

“What have you done for me lately? Let’s just be real and stop asking this question. If he’s in the conversation does that make me the motherfucking man? Man I can’t wait to get my job back and slap somebody.”

Jones chomping at the bit to get back inside the Octagon but before that he must still answer to (USADA) in the coming weeks, and facing a lengthy suspension for his second-time offender.
