Jon Jones has launched his latest push to return to the Octagon — this time, tied to one of the most patriotic events in UFC history.

Today, the former heavyweight champion released a cinematic video promoting his desire to compete at the upcoming UFC White House event, scheduled for 2026 in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary.

The UFC first revealed plans for the landmark card earlier this year, marking a special moment as the sport looks to host its first-ever show on the White House lawn. Jones, who stepped away from active competition after withdrawing from a title defense against Tom Aspinall, is now lobbying hard to be part of it.

Jon Jones Delivers Patriotic Message

Jones shared the clip across his social channels with the caption:

“It just makes sense. The best country on earth 🤝 the best fighter on earth.”

In the video, he speaks directly to fans and the UFC:

“In the summer of 2026, America turns 250 years old, and I couldn’t be more proud to call myself an American,” Jones said. “I love this country. The people, the promise, the fight. This nation was built on courage and conflict, on the belief that we can take on the biggest, the boldest, and come out victorious. That’s how I’ve lived my life.”

He continues, connecting the spirit of the U.S. to the sport that made him famous:

“I can’t help but think what a better way to celebrate America’s fight than for its best fighters to put it on full display. To remind the world who we are. Not just a country of words, but of warriors. Maybe somewhere iconic, or maybe on a certain someone’s lawn. All I know is, I’m fueled up, fired up, and ready.”

Jones closes with:

“God bless the United States of America, and God bless the fighters who carry its spirit.”

Efforts to Mend Fences with Dana White

The video follows Jones’ recent remarks that he’d like to apologize to Dana White after pulling out of an earlier agreement to fight Aspinall. The public gesture appears to be part of his broader attempt to smooth relations with the UFC leadership and position himself for a grand return at the White House spectacle.

Jones, long considered one of the greatest mixed martial artists of all time, remains a central figure in combat sports discussions. Despite his absence from the cage since his 2024 victory over Stipe Miocic, the former champion has stayed active in the public eye through training updates and social media messages.

Meanwhile, several high-profile names continue to express interest in facing Jones. Francis Ngannou, who once ruled the heavyweight division, has publicly said that a bout with Jones “still makes sense,” especially for such a landmark show. Alex Pereira, currently active at light heavyweight, has also entertained the possibility of sharing the Octagon with him.

For Jones, though, it’s not just about the opponent — it’s about the platform. His message remains clear: the UFC’s White House event should showcase fighters who reflect the country’s resilience, and he believes no one embodies that better than himself.
